Mend The Past, Change The Present, Teach The Future™
Welcome to AboutCONSENT™.
Hi! I’m Rosalia Rivera, a passionate consent educator, child sexual abuse prevention expert, sexual literacy advocate, TEDx speaker, change agent, and survivor turned thriver. I’m also the host of AboutCONSENT™ Podcast, the founder of CONSENTparenting™ and creatrix of CONSENTwear™.
I have three missions!
#1: To help parents & caregivers to empower the children in their lives through consent education (and irradicate child sexual abuse like we irradiated polio).
#2: To help childhood sexual trauma survivors find their voice, rediscover their power and reclaim their innate sexual divinity.
#3: To dismantle shame around sexuality through education and awareness.
On this podcast, I offer education, information, resources, and inspiration to help you achieve your most beautiful life- because I believe we all have the right to live a life of internal peace, freedom, and joy. I want to help you on your healing journey to go from survivor to thriver.
Each week I will also have guest mental health professionals, trauma specialists and wellness experts surrounding all the topics discussed on my platform where they offer expertise, advice, tools, and resources.
I stand for consent culture, sex education, shame-free sex-positivity, orgasm equality, freedom, and truth.
Join me in having an open, transparent and inspirational dialogue about all of these important topics that will move the sexual education movement forward, help heal wounds and prevent abuse for all.

Rosalia Rivera helps busy parents go from fearful and anxious to confident and empowered, about teaching their kids about body safety, boundaries, and consent to prevent sexual abuse.
She is a consent educator and child sexual abuse prevention specialist, sexual literacy advocate, 2x TEDx speaker, Chair of SAGE, and the founder of CONSENTparenting™, host of the AboutCONSENT™ podcast and creatrix of CONSENTwear™. She is also a CSA (child sexual abuse) survivor, turned thriver.
As a CSA survivor/thriver and parent, from a family of survivors, she discovered how triggering it was to learn about abuse prevention when it was time to educate her own kids once she became a mother. Determined to break the intergenerational cycle of abuse, Rosalia dedicated herself to her healing so she could overcome the anxiety and triggers that kept coming up when learning about abuse prevention so she could teach her kids.
Through the process, she learned that there were no programs speaking specifically to the survivor experience. This was preventing a large percentage of the parenting population from educating themselves and their kids, thereby increasing the perpetuation of the cycle. That is when she created and founded CONSENTparenting™ and launched her AboutCONSENT™ podcast, dedicated to survivors and those who support survivors to share interviews with experts in the field of mental wellness, trauma, and survivors/thrivers. She has helped thousands of parents through her various social media platform content, her well-reviewed workshops and programs, and her Empowered Family Membership.
Rosalia is certified in the Canadian Centre for Child Protection® COMMIT TO KIDS® Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training Program and is a Certified Facilitator of the Stewards Of Children® Training by Darkness to Light, as well as OnWatch™ Certified.
Her loyal and engaged Instagram following continues to grow exponentially, with her other platforms quickly growing. She has a dedicated listenership on her podcast with well-respected guests looking to share their expertise with her audience.
As a guest on many popular podcasts, Rosalia’s episodes are always some of the most popular, like for top parenting podcast Unruffled by Janet Lansbury and the top Latinx mom podcast Super Mamas.
In 2021 and 2022 she spoke at TEDxOneonta on the topic of dismantling rape culture (2021) and teaching kids and adults consent education (2022), as well as at the well-recognized yearly industry conference, IGNITE by Darkness to Light on the topic of survivor/trauma-informed abuse prevention education.
In 2019, Rosalia was awarded a Hay House Diverse Wisdom Program scholarship to begin working on her upcoming book, a guide to abuse prevention for survivor parents. She is currently working on a prevention book for parents and a children’s book series about secrets, both to be released in 2023.
Rosalia has been featured on MSNBC CNN, CTV News, Univision 34 LA, ABC7, Telemundo as well as BeLatina and Thrive Global. Rosalia has also published articles for BoldLatina and Motherly
